Cute and fun, but the paper could be better. Three and a half stars
I like the idea of the book and think that it is cute. I think some of the prompts might not work for kids younger that 10, but it is fun and adult friendly, if you don’t mind silliness.Pros:•The daily topics allow for many possibilities, so you can have something completely different for each of the four year.•The years are not pre-written, so you can start any year, and even skip•You can start any day•boxes are big enough for a drawing, but not too big that you have to worry about leaving too much blank space if you are a casual doodler.Cons:•The paper is as thin as computer paper, so the outlines of what was drawn on the previous page will show through if more than pencil is used.•The cover is a flimsy cardboard/cardstock like material that probably will not hold up well with daily uses over four years.

Great gift to give to a creative loved one or friend!
I bought this as a gift for my 10 year old niece. I thought it would be a great way for her to express her creativity and little more often. It's kind of like a diary to keep track of how you improve in your skills over the years. I only wish I knew what age group it was targeted at before I bought it because it did have a couple things in it that are going to be harder for her to pertain to herself...example being one of the things in it said to "draw a picture of what you looked like 10 years ago" I guess she could draw a baby version of herself...haha but I'm hoping the questions don't go back much further than 10 years. Overall though it's a fantastic idea!

Awesome, but ink bleeds through paper
I really like the daily questions, although some (usually ones asking me to draw something abstract) get me stumped. My favorite part about this journal is seeing how my ideas and drawings change over time. I've only had this for about 4 months, but I'm excited to see the entire journal completed! One issue I have is the paper quality. I typically use Sakura Pigma Micron pens, and they bleed through the paper. It doesn't bother me too much right now, but I think it will once I fill the journal some more. I've used colored pencils on this paper, and it was fine... but I prefer ink.Overall, I'm happy with my purchase!

A fun way to express your creativity
We love this. My partner and I are both using this so it is a two year for us instead. Being the creative we are, this is a lot of fun. We finished a regular Q&A book at the end of December, and was excited to find something like this.

Great for leaving a visual creative rut!
I'm finding the sketching prompts to be thoughtful and challenging. I have a daily creativity challenge that is frequently trite so this book is much appreciated. My only disappointment is that the paper is too thin to allow many media. I plan to tip in drawing paper rectangles as I progress through the years and using a backing board when creating this year's installments.

Journal Fun
A fun way to keep track of the days. I really appreciated one reviewer who shared a number of ways to utilize this book. This book is soft cover (not hard cover--missed seeing that in the product info) and looks to be well made. Love the colors/format of the cover.

Fabulous Gift!
Really great journal! Got it for a friend that loves to draw. She loved the fact she could sketch or write on the days happenings. And Loved the quotes, too!

Enjoyable
I am finding this an enjoyable journey. Questions range from easily answered to go out and do some homework (usually fairly easy, so far). Pages are divided into quarters, enough for a reasonable sketch, but i find that you do not need to do anything really refined.

Gorgeous creative journal
Love love love this book!I actually bought this copy for my niece for xmas and loved the look of it so much I asked for one for myself.Flicking through the book the prompts are so creative, some are more open to interpretation than others but each prompt is open to your own personal interpretation making it very personal. Each page has 4 squares one for each year so 365 drawing prompts and a page for each you then put the year of the drawing underneath. The squares are approximately 10cm squares giving enough room for a small sketch. The pages are thick enough to use pens to draw although I’d avoid sharpies as the squares no doubt would be too small and they would bleed through the paper I feel. I personally used fine liner pens.I love that it lends to a number of things; you can develop your skills in drawing, take 5 minutes out to reflect on the prompt and exercise your brain and you can look back year after year perhaps igniting memories of things you may have forgotten. I love the sentiment and the style.

For doodlers and creatives
This journal is larger than I expected! Too big to carry around every day, but perfect to keep at home to doodle in every day. It has a soft cover. I would say this is perfect if you want to start getting into drawing or just want to keep your creativity going every day for good practice. You get four blank squares for every day of the year, which means you can doodle in it for four years if you do one every day. The pages aren't thick enough for markers, they would definitely bleed through the pages which are double printed. I think this book makes for a wonderful gift for creative people, which is what I got it for.

Sketching every day by 'force' becomes tiring after a while, but a great idea.
Cute, not much to say about this apart from it has already passed me by and I've got bored of it. I thought t would be a good idea but I think I will just write in it now.

Exactly as it looks. The cover is paperback so ...
Exactly as it looks. The cover is paperback so not very durable for a four year diary, but fit for purpose other than that.

Three Stars
Great layout and though provoking, but quality of paper is not so great.
