Great Unit
Used many Amped AP's, never had any problem with any of them, have only needed tech support once and they were quick to solve the problem. This particular unit met our needs with a strong signal. User-friendly and easy to set up.

Two Thumbs Down - Buggy, Wired and Wireless connections just drop every minute or so
Strong Wi-Fi signal. However immediately while configuring it via a wired NIC, the wired connection kept dropping about once a minute for 5 to 10 seconds, then it would come back. I saw the link light go Out, I tried all 4 ports. The NIC to my Router always stayed light. I then switched over to Wi-Fi, samething, the signal would just drop for a few seconds then reconnect. I then connected to my Wireless Motorola Router, I started a PING -t to my Router and to the IP of the Amped Wireless AP. The router never went down, but the Amped AP would go down.I called and chatted with Amped. They had me try factory defaults and then reinstalled the firmware, No change. They just said "Try" to contact your reseller and get a refund or exchange.Amazon said this was directly from Amped, so they couldn't do an exchange. I decided on a refund and bought a NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 Desktop WiFi Range Extender (EX7000-100NAS), I received it last night and it worked perfectly, very Easy setup, good Wi-Fi signal. I will post a review on it after a week or two to see how it holds up.

This thing is SUPER powerful. The administration interface is pretty bog standard
Rock solid wifi is a decent trade for brain cancer. This thing is SUPER powerful. The administration interface is pretty bog standard, but that's what you want. Overall, I got what I was after; the nuclear option ;D.

Did not work even after multiple calls to tech support
When I got the router, I plugged it in right away and started the setup. It looked like it was working, my computer connected via cable and via WiFi. However, none of my mobile devices would connect. I did all the troubleshooting that was recommended by the manual with no better results. So I called the tech support line and, after making me do all the steps in the manual two more times, they had me reset the router. We tried this 4 times with no results. Then they had me do a firmware update 3 times. Still no results. Then he had me do a software reinstall and told me I had to wait 24 hours for it to work. The next day it still did not work so I called back and even though the new person looked up my record of all the steps tried the previous day, he tried to have me do all the steps in the manual, then a firmware update, the. A reset, until finally he said I needed to return it. I returned the router and bought a NetGear router which I plugged in and took 2 minutes to setup and all my devices connected both via cable and WiFi with no issues.

Strong signal where others are weak for our two story home.
I love this AP. Works reliably since I purchased this in November. Strong signal where other AP fail for our two story home. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

Nothing but problems.
I purchased this for use with a couple of other Amped Wireless products. I had this installed in my garage to extend Wi-Fi to, and beyond the garage. Initial set-up went well, but then the router started to have problems. It got quite hot to touch and Wi-Fi stopped working. I actually found that when it failed, the remote controls in my vehicles no longer opened the garage door. If I unplugged the router, my remotes immediately worked properly again. Once cool, I could use it another couple of days before the same cycle repeated itself. Tech support was not at all helpful. This was clearly defective given how the Wi-Fi simply stopped operating and it adversely affected other RF devices when it failed. The tech support rep I spoke to simply said call back when it's not working so we can perform some tests. Problem is, when it wasn't working, there was no way to connect to it (wired or otherwise) to perform tests. They didn't see how this was a problem.Sorry Amped Wireless, you're off my list!

Residential Applications and use direct IP address to access set-up and enjoy!.
Residential application review. Nice unit. Do not rely on the "setup..." to work. Some routers and SPs will block it. Find the address and access directly and configure. Range is good but have not found it to be no where near the 15k feet in a typical home found in the Southern US. May work in an open warehouse or free standing structure with no obstruction at their rating. But we have no way to test. Place it in the highest point in the center of the home for best coverage and enjoy.

Pricey...Unfortunately you don't get what you paid for.
Great coverage; across several walls in my household, however I had problems from the beginning; dropped wifi connections; dropped physical connections. I called support and they said it's probably a bad hardware. Unfortunately I need to install something more reliable so I switched out toe an ASUS, and it works very well.
