Great Pack, Crappy Hardware
I REALLY wanted to give this item more than 3 stars. I bought it for a medical trip to Panama and it performed wonderfully. The internal pockets worked great to keep my passport protected and essential medical supplies organized and east to get to. The external pouches were perfect for carrying a couple small bottles of deet and sunscreen as well as a head light. The two water bottle pouches kept my LifeStraw secure and housed a rolled-up poncho for quick access when it started raining. The included packpack-style straps made it feel like my old LCE and butt pack from when I was in the Army. It was comfortable, versatile, and was envied by my fellow travelers. However, what is up with the cheap crappy buckles? Thankfully none of mine broke, but the other reviews stating how flimsy they are were 100% on point. I felt like I had to be EXTREMELY careful to avoid breaking them. They should at least use good buckles for the main waist straps! That being said, I plan on replacing the buckles and using this pack for a long time to come.

Very versatile pack at a fantastic price.
PROS : Lots of pockets and versatile wearing options - 1) as a "fanny" pack; 2) with the "back pack" straps and 3) over the shoulder strap.- holds 2 standard bike bottles very snugly, albeit a bit high as the bottle pockets are somewhat shallow. I plan to add some elastic cord attached to the the d-rings for the backpack strap attachment to further secure the bottles to prevent them from falling out during vigorous activities.- main pocket is large enough for a light windbreaker and has 2 interior zippered pockets- hip belt is very well padded as is the main bag to provide lumbar comfortCONS : Bottle holders are shallow- bag is heavier than expectedNOTE one commenter complained that the belt was too large and couldn't be shortened. He even posted a video demonstrating that it could NOT be shortened. He was not doing it correctly. The "triglide" buckle can be moved to enable the strap to be shortened to as small as 25 inches.See the pics that show one side set to its shortest length and the other strap lengthenedNOTE 2 - pic of a windbreaker in the main compartment with room to spare

OK but flawed.
The trouble with fanny packs is that if loaded they can tend to drag your pants down, so you have to cinch your belt uncomfortably tight. I wanted a fanny pack to meet three criteria: (1) holds two water bottles, (2) has an attachable shoulder strap to help support the weight, and (3) has a pocket large enough to hold a birding field guide. This is the only fanny pack I could find that meets all three criteria. On the downside, it has a lot of useless extra straps that get in the way and add weight. I cut them off. The design makes it hard to access the zippered pockets. The main pocket should be deeper. The two side pockets would be more useful as a single, longer side pocket. This pack is over-engineered. It has unneeded features that add weight. I am still looking for the perfect fanny pack.

Great for MTBing!
I do a lot of mountain biking. I needed something to hold all the essentials: tools, first-aid kid, extra tube, snack, phone, and keys. This fanny pack had room to spare. As a matter of fact, I bring along a shell that I can stuff into the pack without a problem. Additionally, in the middle of the pack there's a space with an elastic cord that you can attach "things" to. I was able to stick a blue tooth speaker (circular) and the elastic cord held it perfectly in place. I love this pack. For the money, you ain't finding anything better. Granted, it's only been a few months, but everything seems to be holding up beautifully, and the materials are good quality. The only drawback is the shoulder strap. The strap itself is fine and was a great idea as my pack is pretty weighed down. Without the shoulder strap, I don't think I would be able to comfortable lug around all that stuff without it being a hinderance if it was only wrapped around my mid-section. But I digress. Most of the time, the shoulder straps are comfortable. Sometimes, however, when I bend over, or if I'm in a certain position, the tab where I attach the strap digs into my back. I should mention that when I'm in an upright/natural position, I don't feel it. $21 for this pack was a steal. Don't be put off with the 4 stars.

Unbelievable value
I got this pack for $20, and it's worth every penny. It's really the perfect pack for a day hike where you don't need a bunch of extra clothes and gear. There is a shocking amount of room inside. I was able to stuff it full of essentials, and the bottle holders work really well. I didn't think I'd use the shoulder straps, but they really help stabilize the pack when you have a couple top-heavy water bottles in the side pockets. I've seen complaints about the plastic clips, but I haven't had any issues with them yet. I also love all of the straps and pockets all over. There are plenty of places to clip on a carabiner or strap on a raincoat or something. I highly recommend this pack. For the price you can't go wrong.

Great Lumbar Support for Backpacking.
I wore this pack to walk the Camino de Santiago thru Portugal & Spain. It would have been ideal as a daypack. You can pack a lunch and simple first-aid things. It has plenty of different size pockets. Many are accessible without opening the main pouch. It can be loosened and tightened to adjust to contents, so it doesn’t flop about as you walk. The bag comes with several kinds of straps to convert it into a small backpack or handbag. I didn’t use them and left them home, so I can’t remark on their usefulness. The best thing about this fanny pack for me was the support of the padded lumbar strap. I carried a pack with only 20 lbs. in it. But I noticed that the fanny pack gave noticeable support to my lower back because its back strap was very wide and padded. I believe it improved my posture and took some stress from the backpack off my spine.
