She likes it!!!
To say my cat is finicky is a HUGE understatement! She is more than happy to eat treats, but follows me around the house complaining about whatever normal cat food it is that I am trying to feed her. I have been going through the aisles of PetsMart, trying one can of every brand of pate, but she doesn't like any of them - until this one! Even when she deigns to eat something, she might take a few bites and then leave, eventually coming back when she sees she isn't getting anything else. I gave her half the pouch and she finished it in seconds flat! So I gave her the other half, and she ate that, too! And as for me, I am thrilled to death that I can just squeeze it out without having to smell stinky cat food. I don't know whether it doesn't smell or if I just don't have to get close enough to smell it, but either way is good enough for me!

Great for a picky older cat
My cat loves these. The plate is licjed clean every yime. They're light, health ingredients for a cat and I feel the perfect afternoon or late evening meal for my 12 year old finicky cat. These are hard to find in the pet stores so I'm glad that Amazon carries them as well.

Wellness Chicken Mousse, puréed cat treat
We have seven cats, including two elderly cats who need supplemental calories throughout the day. One will be 21 years old in June 2025, the other will be 19 in July. The vet approved giving them dry kitten food (24/7 access) and lickable treats. If cats could select stars this Chicken Mousse would be a 1-Star product. I gave it 4-Stars because I have no reason to think there's anything actually wrong with the brand or flavor, it's just a formula they don't like. FWIW, they do eat the Delectables chicken-only lickable tube flavor and all of the Delectables pouched fishy flavors.Of our 7 cats the only one that eats this Chicken Mousse is the cat who found us when he somehow became separated from his people and lost — he was most likely a stowaway. He spent some time one winter out on his own and under fed — he loves every kind of food, treats, car rides, and lap time. (He is now a much-loved member of our family, but Please, microchip your fur kids.)Luckily, everyone loves the various fishy flavors of pouched Delectables Bisque/Lickable Cat Treats. That enables us to keep our geriatric family members' weight within a reasonably normal range. We switched from the squeezable tubes to the pouches because the pouches are a better value.Manufacturers please note, there has to be a better way of packaging this product other than pouches and squeezable tubes. We probably aren't the only Cat Parents who detest those messy pouches and tubes. Also, for people who have cats who have chronic constipation these puréed/bisque/lickable treats cured that problem for our oldest. Talk to your vet, we were able to take the old fella off lactulose which he had been on for 3+ years. You won't be saving any money but you will have a happier cat, there will be fewer struggles, and you will have fewer... punctures and scuffs.

Cat loves the sauce!
My cat licks up the sauce. He might eat half a teaspoon of the shredded food, and then he walks away. Most of the shredded food he does not eat. In some pouches there might be a tablespoon or more of sauce, but some pouches are dried up and there is very little sauce. Sometimes the shredded chicken is thin, and sometimes it is thick. There is no consistency with this food. There is a very small amount of food inside the pouches. It smells like chicken. The food is good quality, but expensive for what you get. These pouches might be good as a treat, but not as a main food.If your cat actually eats all this food –It says on the container, "Feed 7 to 8 1/2 pouches per 6 to 8 lbs. of body weight per day." That means, if you have a ten-pound cat, you need to feed them over ten of these pouches every day. And there are only eight pouches in a container! My cat also gets dry cat food and a different kind of wet food.
