A bit fiddly to assemble
As someone who finds IKEA furniture easy to put together I didn't find this a struggle but it was fiddly and the instructions were a bit useless. It's not something you can throw together in 5 minutes did take me about 20 minutes. That said I did do it on my own. I would suggest gloves as some of the edges are a bit sharp although I didn't use any nor cut myself. The frame is lightweight and feels really flimsy until everything is put together and it's surprisingly sturdy and wobble free. Not sure about heavy weights on the shelves as I've only bought it for starting off seedlings indoors but it does feel quite sturdy.Really pleased with it and think it's good value for money, it would be quite easy to replace the shelves if they get damaged or even upgrade them

Fiddly but okay
Fiddly to build, shelving is flimsy. Wont hold what I wanted but have found another use.

Simple to construct (but may take time to understand how)
Courier was rubbish but, having now received one that isn't damaged, I'm delighted with it!Easy to construct but take whatever time is necessary to work through the assembly and don't try to force things into place as they should slide in fairly easily. A gentle tap with a rubber hammer may help to join parts together if they are first carefully placed in position and 'started'.If unsure or having problems, two heads are better than one!Shelves are perfectly adequate despite appearance and can easily be painted with paint suitable for "particle board".IF positioning indoors and on a carpet, the 'front' uprights need to be raised to the equivalent height of the grippa rod (the spiky stuff that carpet fitters nail in on edges), so that the completed unit is not tilting. A spirit level will certainly help to find the right thickness of 'packing' needed (which can be glued underneath the 'feet' at the front). It's also usually a good idea to fix a support to the wall and to the shelving rack to guard against instability and toppling (easy to find using a search engine)This deserves the time to put together carefully and properly and is amazing value for moneyMy apologies if I in any way offend anyone reading this, I do have many years experience of selecting and building shelving. I find this a really good shelving rack and hope this review proves helpful

Absolute nightmare to build
These shelves are probably the worse flat pack product i've ever built. The design is terrible and after building 5 it still took me 40 minutes to build each one.The user manual is a waste of time and is zero help. They felt like they were built out of recycled tin cans and are designed to cut you to pieces as you build them.I would rather build a full set of ikea bedroom furniture while simultaneously having a root canal then ever build any more of these things.Once they are assembled they look ok and are pretty sturdy, they were very cheap for a set of shelves.

Solid
Bought 2 then another 2, and at least one more to come! Using these to tidy up rooms rather than stacking things on top of each other or in cupboards.Completed units are very solid and the paint work is very good. Of the four units done so far, no missing items.Tips on assembly:-(1) The parts list and instructions - a single A4 sheet - is sandwiched between the wooden shelfing boards, this is a bit unfortunate and these would be the last to assembly. I fell for this on the first 'instructionless' assembly.(2) By far the most important thing to get right is for the lugs are correctly inserted. Repeatedly check this as you go along as it's remarkable how easy to miss and undoing can be tricky. My eventual technique was only to use hand/palm pressure till everything was re-checked then gently knock each joint into place with a wooden block - instructions recommend a rubber hammer.(3) The mid shelfing structs - which you don't see in the pictures - are best inserted just prior to the wooden shelf panels - done last. They are not initially load bearing so are very loose and drop off all the time otherwise with any sort of movement.(4) I gave up on trying to fit the plastic stoppers to the top corners of the unit - this didn't seem to work as without weight they kept falling off and I suspect they are only provided if you decide to build two half units. Makes no difference imo.(5) You can paint the wooden shelfs with emulsion - may require two coats.Time taken for assembly, 90mins on the first - without instructions - and around 60mins on the others.

Not worth the effort.
Package contained all items - goodThereafter - otherwise.Click assembly not particularly strong. Contributed to ability to support 100 kGs+ of load. \\Slightest upward force - eg while trying to lift and turn to advance the assembly process - was enough for the shelves support to free themselves.System to enable extension to double height was flimsy - also prone to splitting until fitting of nuts and bolls (40+ - not supplied) secured the structure but only 3 of the 5 shelves. The finished item was still wobbly. All in all - not very good.Took the decision to disassemble and return. Not worthy of one star.

Garage clean up!
Not that easy to put together, but provides shelving for my tools and boxes. Overall, does its job.
