Cannot recommend enough
I have eczema prone skin, and with my long hair it’s almost impossible to stop hair products from touching the skin that gets flare ups (neck, collarbones, shoulders, and inside of my elbows) although I don’t have any problems with my scalp, using this I can wash my hair comfortably without worrying about damaging my skin barrier. As a shampoo this is an amazing product, leaves my hair feeling clean and hydrated, and is bringing back my natural wavy pattern that I haven’t seen in a long time. Hyaluronic acid is a great hydrating ingredient for hair and skin and I can’t believe more products don’t include it. I used to use a hyaluronic serum but with this shampoo I don’t have to. After I wash my hair it used to look oily again by the next day, with this shampoo it doesn’t look greasy the next day, while also not stripping my hair and making it feel dry. Overall amazing at cleaning, amazing for my hair and skin, I only use cerave on my skin, and will stick to this shampoo now too.

It works! Better than Head & Shoulders w/ Zinc Pyrithrone
Wow! Saved my scalp and hair!I have 1/2a/2b hair—fine, medium density, low porosity, and protein sensitive, with a very sensitive scalp.I used to use Head & Shoulders (I tried everything they offer) or Dove’s Dryness & Itch Relief dandruff shampoo. Both contain zinc pyrithione, and heavy-handed synthetic-smelling fragrance. Yuck. They both also left this gross residue on my hair, where my hair felt both dry and greasy. Double yuck. And my head would still get itchy by the next day! Triple yuck! So... not exactly a win-win for any part of my head. But I'd tried so many shampoos and these were the best options :(On the other hand, this CeraVe Hydrating Shampoo is fragrance-free, doesn’t contain zinc pyrithione and leaves my scalp itch-free all day, every day (!!!) and my hair clean and bouncy.I don’t know how they did it, but I’m so grateful!!! 🙏 You have no idea. I was going insane trying to find something that would work for me. I tried SO MANY shampoos and conditioners. I thought Target was going to ban me from how many I had tried and returned.CeraVe also worked well in both hard and soft water for me. Obviously it performed better in soft water, but in hard water I successfully paired it with a clarifying shampoo and chelator (as needed): L’Oréal’s Hard Water Clarifying Shampoo and MalibuC Hard Water packets. I had to be careful with that combo though. It did a great job at stripping my hair clean, but if I used it too often, it absolutely wrecked my scalp.I now have softened water, and I pair the CeraVe shampoo with L'Oreal's Curl Conditioner or L'Oreal's Restore Conditioner (aka their hard water conditioner) and that's been working very well for me. If I need to clarify every so often, I just shampoo twice with the CeraVe shampoo, and that does the trick.Anywho, I recommend giving this shampoo a shot! Hope it works for you too!And CeraVe.... DO NOT STOP MAKING THIS AND DO NOT CHANGE THE FORMULA.

Great shampoo for fine thin hair.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:The shampoos I have been using for several years are not working for me anymore. I am a 63-year-old woman with thinning very fine hair. It is hard to find a good shampoo that will actually clean it not dry it out and make my hair look good. I was skeptical when I bought this, I am now a convert out of all the shampoos I have tried in the past year this is the only one that I am going to keep using. When I use it my hair looks the healthiest it has in years, it feels and looks clean and it makes my hair look better. I would highly recommend this.

If you like smooth, non-frizzy hair this is awesome
I used this for the 1st time today. I was really looking forward to it because I have a skin issue (face) and I was thinking a shampoo like this would help prevent probs. First of all, my hair is SOFT and not as frizzy as it usually is after using my regular shampoos. I use Aveda Smoothing, Garnier Honey Treasures and Desert something that I get at Sprouts. I LOVE how my hair feels. not weighed down and clean. Lathers nicely. Honestly, pleasantly surprised. BUT gosh, my face is stinging a bit and it's red. Not sure my Rosacea is going to tolerate it but for hair I highly recommend. My hair feels terrific.

No more sand like grit on scalp
I kept getting sebum plugs or something that caused sand-like particles to grow on my scalp and show up when you run your nails across the roots of your hair/scalp (ie- scratch your itchy scalp). I’ve dealt with this and an itchy scalp for decades. I’ve tried all the dandruff, eczema, tea tre oil, baby and apple cinder shampoos. The closet I got was dumping apple cider vinegar on my scalp but then everything smells like it. Turns out using this product along with their conditioner and cleaning thoroughly EVERY DAY, resolves the problem. If you have long hair, make sure you scrub really good. And always shampoo twice in the shower. You want to remove the buildup. Also the shampoo itself is thick and amazing at leaving my hair so soft. It’s a great product . No fancy smells, but that’s what you need.

Beats salon & professional brands
I don’t often leave reviews and I’m the type to spend big money on my hair products.. I have to say, I’d choose this over any salon or professional brand. My hair feels amazing and soft but not frizzy or weighed down. This is going to be my new go to! Sad to throw away hundreds of dollars of the other expensive shampoos I have in my shower but this one is truly that good. Also, this seems to be a less expensive copy cat of Elizavecca Cer-100 shampoo based off the ingredients alone. That shampoo also has great reviews.

Great for the price
I have fine, dry hair and was looking for a moisturizing shampoo that didn’t break the bank. I trust the CeraVe brand for face care so decided to give the shampoo a try. For the price I would give this 5 stars. I have used more moisturizing shampoos, but at a considerable cost. I will be buying this again.
